So you’re probably asking yourself, “Hey, how’s the workout going?” OK, maybe you’re not… but even still… i’m gonna tell you!

Obviously this week I slacked off a little, not to mention having a slight cold didn’t help… But I did go Monday and Tuesday – and planning on going shortly after I finish this post! Soooo I think since I’ve started at the end of December, I’ve lost around 20lbs, and people are starting to notice… I ran into a couple last night that I haven’t seen in a month or two – and the woman commented how I looked like I’d been losing weight Felt good to hear that… I’m noticing it myself, but I guess I’d like to see it come off much faster!!!

Anyways, I’m going to get back into the zone starting today, going every day that I can go (Today, Sun, Mon, Tue, Thurs, Fri, and probably Sun…) – I’m doing about 30 minutes cardio and 30 minutes (or more) of weights… I love doing my cardio on the eliptical machine – the machine that I could hardly do a month ago – now I can do 30 minutes regularly… Still kinda tough, but getting easier… and I’m going almost twice as fast as when I first started. Not to mention I’m going probably about 2 miles (or more) in that 30 minutes …

Ok – enough talking… I’m off to the gym!!

What a week! Work kinda sucked, but I made it through… decided to take Friday off, since Trent also had the day off too – and we went on a little mini-24 hour vacation! Where did we go, you ask? Well I had wanted to take him to the indoor waterpark Castaway Bay in Sandusky Ohio, but it was all sold out – but found another waterpark in Sandusky, Great Wolf Lodge, instead! I picked him up after work, and we headed on down to beautiful Sandusky, Ohio!

We arrived around 8:30p, and after checking in, we hit the pool! The place has a huge fort with tons of water stuff inside it, and 6 waterslides – 2 body slides on the fort, 2 more off to the side, and the last 2 were larger and you used tubes to go down – These were the most fun, because the tubes went outside (yes, you were enclosed in them) and back into the pool! At first, Trent was scared after the slide, but he soon loved going down them!! After the pool that night, we played some games in their arcade, then retired to the room where we watched SpongeBob Squarepants The Movie!

The next morning, we got up, had a great breakfast, then hit the arcade more and won more tickets! We won about 2700 tickets the whole time we were there! We finished up the stay with more pool time, took a few lazy floats thru the little lazy river, played water basketball, more time on the fort – and a few dumpings on by the HUGE 700 gallon bucket at the top of the fort! It dumps the water down probably every 10 minutes or so !!

Of course, I’ve got pictures – but no water action pictures of Trent, unfortunately – it’s just too risky getting my new camera wet!!

We finally left there around 3pm, Trent was exausted… He slept most of the way home, waking up only when we stopped for dinner… All in all in was a great time, and it was the best feeling to see him in the backseat with this smile of content as he drifted to sleep…

If ya haven’t heard by now, May 3rd is the official release date for the new NIN album: “With Teeth” – And it sounds like it’s going to be a return back to the Industrial days for NIN! I can’t wait!!!

Trent has described this album as being “12 good punches in the face” – and actually it’s 13, since a new track was added too.. And the first single, “Hand That Feeds” will be out sometime in April!!! Can’t wait for that either!! If you want a small taste, check out the ‘teaser’ trailer on NIN’s site! (Make sure ya have quicktime installed)

They’ve announced 3 US dates (next month) , and they were sold out within a day or so! I so wanted to fly out to Reno for the one on March 24th!!! But it’s sold out! But no matter, when NIN comes to Detroit, I’ll be as close as I can be – and you can bet I’ll be buying this CD too!

Watching the Grammys tonight – decent show – lot of variety on there tonight, I tuned in when Lynard Skynard was playing with a bunch of country artists (Tim McGraw, Gretchen Wilson, Keith Urban) and it was great! The gospel tribute is something I could do without, but i’m not much of a religious person… now the Janice Joplin tribute w/Joss Stone and Melissa Etheridge is awesome! I just love Joss Stone, and Melissa did a great job with ‘Little Piece of My Heart’!!

Well, i’m fighting a mild cold… so didn’t do too much over the weekend with Trent… But we did go do some bowling on Saturday afternoon – a new league that he signed up for… it was fun! I broke 100 on all three games (total of 350 combined) – and Trent improved every game too! I got some cute pictures of him too, perhaps I’ll load ‘em up someday… lol

Anyways, today after I took Trent back to his mom’s, I went to band practice – and I shouldn’t have… I thought I was almost over this cold, but the smoke didn’t help one damn bit. Coughing and all… ugh… Wish I could get away from it all – but my love is music, and until bars drop smoking (not likely), I’ll have to live with smelling like smoke after singing Karaoke or checking out a live band… Ugh. Also sucks that many of the people I love and care about smoke… And I don’t like sounding like a nag (?) by telling them to stop…. Maybe someday they will… it’s not gonna change the way I feel about them…. Damn addictions…
